Alba Fyre was not released by WWE, chose to leave after contract expired

During a recent interview with the Daily Star, former WWE talent Alba Fyre (Kay Lee Ray), said that she was not released due the last round of roster cuts. She said her contract was up and that she made the decision during the time several talents were being let go.

She also said that she didn’t have the 90-day non-compete clause, which allowed her to appear at last Friday’s Pro Wrestling Eve show in the United Kingdom.

“My contract was up. And I knew it was coming up and I had the decision of whether I wanted to stay or not. I know some other people got fired and they have the 90 days clause, but because mine was just contract ending, that means I didn’t have the 90 days and I was able to come and do this. And do it as like kind of a surprise but it wasn’t really a surprise. But, yeah, really glad that it worked out this way.”
