Less than two years ago, Vader revealed that he had congestive heart failure and said that he had two years to live. Vader is now 62 years.
Vader started his career in the AWA, followed by New Japan, then WCW, where he held the WCW World Heavyweight championship on three different occasions.
Vader left WCW in 1995 and returned to New Japan for a brief tenure before joining the WWE in 1996. Vader then joined All Japan in 1998.
Just hours before the surgery, Bill Apter from 1Wrestling.com interviewed Vader.
From all of us here at Wrestleview.com, we would like to wish Vader a speedy recovery.
