The NWA announces inter-promotional match for Hard Times PPV on January 24

The NWA announces inter-promotional match

The National Wrestling Alliance announced on Twitter Tuesday they have signed an inter-promotional match with current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis squaring off against Ring of Honor star Flip Gordon.

The match will take place at the Hard Times pay-per view from the sold out GPB Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, January 24.

Aldis made a surprise appearance during last Saturday night’s ROH at Center Stage event in Atlanta. He did a run in disguised as a police officer attacking Villain Enterprises member Flip Gordon.

The attack on Gordon stems from when Aldis was confronted in a surprise appearance by Villain Enterprises Leader Marty Scurll at the NWA’s Into the Fire Pay-Per View last month.

Aldis, Kamille, and Thomas Latimer also showed up at ROH’s Honor Reigns Supreme event the next night. Flip Gordon and Brody King tried to get into it with Aldis and Latimer before security came out and broke it up.

We reported over the weekend that Scurll agreed to a new deal with ROH that included lead booking duties which was then later revealed to the talent in the locker room at a show in Concord, North Carolina.
