On Thursday’s Ring of Honor Television, Tony Khan announced that a new ROH World TV Champion will be crowned in a Survival of the Fittest Elimination match at Final Battle on December 15.
There will be qualifying matches over the next several weeks. Six wrestlers will qualify for the match at Final Battle.
Back on the November 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, after Samoa Joe successfully defending the ROH World TV Title against Keith Lee, he relinquished the belt, saying that he was going after the AEW World Championship.
Joe held the championship for 574 days, becoming the longest-reigning ROH World Television Champion of all time.
