Report: Seven Bucks Productions signs First-Look Deal with 20th Television

Deadline is reporting that Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Buck Productions and 20th Television have closed a first-look TV deal.

The new deal will bring Seven Bucks fully under the Walt Disney Co. umbrella after the production company signed a first-look deal with Disney studios to develop films for theatrical releases and streaming.

In addition, under the new 20th Television deal, Johnson, Garcia, and the Seven Bucks Production television team will develop and executive produce comedy, drama, adult animation, limited and unscripted series for linear television networks, platforms across Disney Entertainment Television and other streaming platforms which were not named.

Furthermore, Deadline notes that under the new Disney film deal, Seven Bucks is producing a live-action remake of Moana, in which Johnson also plays Maui Monster Jam, that takes place in the world of motorsports.

Seven Bucks most recently produced Red One, for Amazon MGM Studios. The production company for A24 is also releasing later this year, The Smashing Machine, which is a biopic that stars Johnson as former wrestler and MMA fighter Mark Kerr. In addition, they will be releasing a new Fast & Furious from Universal and Sony’s third installment for the Jumanji remake.

The Rock, as the Final Boss returned to WWE television during last Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, LA. He fired up the fans and told them that WWE’s big two-night extravaganza that is WrestleMania, will be coming to the city on April 11 and 12, 2026.

The Rock, then turned his attention to Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, calling out the American Nightmare. Rock told Rhodes that he is a great champion, but that if Rhodes aligned himself with The Rock, he could make all his dreams come true. The Rock also told Rhodes that he wants his soul and wants an answer at Elimination Chamber in Toronto on Saturday, March 1.
