The show opens with a graphic in tribute to the late Dusty Rhodes. We see the entire WWE roster on the stage with Vince McMahon front and center as we get a 10 bell salute for The America Dream. Dusty’s music hits as the roster and crowd clap along.

A video package opens focusing on the “Money in the Bank” ladder match tonight.

We go live inside the Nationwide Arena where a display of pyro goes off. Michael Cole is the first to welcome us to the show tonight.

“Money in the Bank” Ladder Match
Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton vs. Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus. vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Neville

The bell rings and brawling everywhere. Kofi Kingston sets up a ladder and catches the eye of everyone. Lots of attempts going up the ladder. Kane and Sheamus clear house and Sheamus drops Kane with a quick clothesline. Sheamus had his hands on the briefcase when Kane cuts him off. Dolph Ziggler with a jumping DDT on Kane. Sheamus cuts off Ziggler crawling up. Sheamus with White Noise on Ziggler. Sheamus grabs a smaller ladder and hits Randy Orton with it in the ring. Sheamus drives a ladder into Kane at ringside. Kingston is up the ladder in the ring and Sheamus cuts him off. Sheamus puts a small ladder on the bottom rope near the corner. Kingston with body kicks to Sheamus. Neville with a springboard dropkick blasting Sheamus. Trouble in Paradise on Sheamus. Neville with a big kick to Kingston. Neville monkey flips Kingston who lands and grabs the ladder. Reigns clears house on Neville and Kingston. Reigns powerbombs Kingston on the ladder that was on the bottom rope. Reigns then powerbombs Neville on top of Kingston over the ladder! Kane cuts off Reigns on the ladder. Kane with a chokeslam on Reigns off the ladder. Orton is on and an RKO on Kane. RKO on Kingston. Neville springboards himself to the ladder. Orton with a huge RKO on Neville off the ladder! Sheamus cuts off Orton near the top of the ladder. Orton is back up and Sheamus cuts him off again. Brogue Kick to Orton. Sheamus is back up and Ziggler cuts him off. Ziggler with headbutts to Sheamus up top. Sheamus pulls Ziggler to his shoulders. Ziggler counters applying a sleeper. Zig Zag off the ladder! Neville is on the top turnbuckle and connects with the Red Arrow! Neville and Ziggler are now both crawling up the tall ladder. Neville drops Ziggler face first off the top of the ladder. Ziggler falls to the mat below. Kane pulls Neville down. Ziggler drops Kane with a superkick. Kane with a baseball slide into a ladder to Ziggler. Superman Punch on Kane. Reigns hits the ropes and takes everyone out with a huge leap over the top rope! Big E and Xavier Woods run down and toss Kingston back inside the ring. They toss a ladder inside and are keeping watch at ringside with everyone else still down. Reigns wtih a double flying boot to both Big E and Woods at ringside. Kingston has the ladder setup and is climbing. Kingston kicks Reigns away. Reigns powerbombs Kingston over the top rope into everyone at ringside! Reigns with a spear to Orton after countering an RKO attempt. Reigns sets up the ladder and starts climbing up. Bray Wyatt’s graphic hits the screen. Back live, we see Wyatt standing under the ladder pushing it over. Wyatt with Sister Abigail on Reigns. “Bray Wyatt ruined Roman Reigns’ dream,” yells Michael Cole. Sheamus crawls in and sets the ladder up. Sheamus is at the top. Neville is crawling up. Neville with elbows to Sheamus. Sheamus pushes Neville off the ladder by his head. Sheamus reaches up and gets the briefcase. Sheamus smiles celebrating with the briefcase in hand.

Winner: Sheamus

After the match, we see a shot of Sheamus smiling more holding the briefcase to his chest. We see a replay of Bray Wyatt showing up and pushing the ladder over when Roman Reigns looked to win by pulling the briefcase down. Back live, we see an upset Reigns.

Backstage, Renee Young is with Paige. Paige talks about getting ignored by other Divas when she wanted to take down the Bella empire in WWE. “Tonight I will create that change…for you Dusty,” adds Paige walking off.

WWE Divas Championship Match
Nikki Bella (c) vs. Paige

Lock up and Nikki pushes Paige to the ropes. Nikki follows with a quick slap and mocks Paige doing some jumping jacks. Nikki with shoulder shots to Paige in the corner. Paige responds by choking Nikki with her boot in the corner. Nikki rolls out. Paige tosses Nikki out quickly when she rolls back in. Paige with a big flip from the ring apron taking out Nikki. Nikki drops Paige face first off the ring barricade when Paige was up on the barricade. Nikki pushes Paige into the ring and then gets back inside doing push ups to mock her more. Nikki with a snap suplex on Paige. Nikki applies a front lock to keep Paige grounded. Paige with a high knee to the jaw of Nikki. Nikki bounces Paige off the top rope and drops her back in a suplex. Nikki applies a full body scissors submission. Paige with repeated knees to the chest of Nikki. Nikki smiles as she pulls back on the neck of Paige on the mat. Paige drops Nikki with a quick superkick. Nikki with a quick spinebuster of her own. Paige with elbows to Nikki in the corner. Paige tosses Nikki down face first by her leg. Paige applies a modified Crossface locking the leg of Nikki. Nikki gets to the ropes. Nikki with an Alabama Slam. Nikki breaks free from another submission attempt by Paige. Nikki with a springboard kick to the face of Paige off the second rope. Paige with the Rampaige. Nikki kicks out. Paige can’t believe it. Nikki and Paige are hitting elbows on the top rope and both fall off. We see Nikki make a switch with Brie under the ring. Paige brings Brie back in the ring. Brie with a roll up. Paige counters into a roll up of her own and gets the pinfall! Paige starts to celebrate.

The referee figures out it was Brie and orders the match to continue. Nikki with a quick charge on Paige, hits the Rack Attack and hooks the leg to get the pinfall.

Winner and still WWE Divas Champion: Nikki Bella

After the match, we see a replay of the switch and finish. JBL is wondering why the referee let the match continue after that. Back live, we see a shot of both Nikki and Brie Bella celebrating as an upset Paige looks on from inside the ring.

Video from Elimination Chamber is shown of Ryback winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship by pinning Sheamus. We then see video on RAW the next night of Big Show knocking out The Miz and making it known he wants a title shot.

The Miz is out next. “The state that bred The Miz…OHIO!” Miz said they are his people, the people he left. “You don’t count,” adds Miz. He claims he would be the WWE Intercontinental Champion right now if it wasn’t for the Big Show. Miz takes at seat on commentary.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Ryback (c) vs. Big Show

Ryback with a spinebuster right away when Big Show charges in! Ryback with the Meat Hook clothesline right after that. Big Show with a body shot and Ryback clotheslines Big Show over the top rope. Ryback grabs Miz and tosses him against the ring. Ryback tosses Miz over the announce table next right into Michael Cole. Back in the ring, Big Show with a quick tackle on Ryback. Big Show with chops to Ryback and follows with a scoop slam. Big Show with a quick shoulder tackle. Ryback catches Big Show with a boot and rights. Ryback counters a chokeslam attempt and Ryback brings Big Show down into an armbar. Ryback with a boot to the head. Ryback gets Big Show up and over for a suplex. Ryback follows with a quick body splash over Big Show. Big Show gets Ryback up and down with a huge chokeslam. Big Show is calling for the KO punch. Ryback counters and tries to get Big Show up for Shell Shocked. Big Show catches Ryback with a KO punch and Ryback falls out. The Miz walks up at ringside and backs off when Big Show gets out. Big Show tosses Ryback in and Miz rolls in. Miz starts attacking Big Show. The referee calls for the bell.

The Miz walks away to the entrance area with a mic in hand.

WWE United States Champion John Cena vs. NXT Champion Kevin Owens

Columbus does not like John Cena tonight. Lots of people behind Owens.

The bell rings and here we go. Cena and Owens circle the ring. “Come on John,” yells Owens smiling. Lock up and Cena with a headlock. Cena with a shoulder tackle and Owens pops right back up backing to the corner. Owens with a shoulder tackle of his own as Cena jumps right back up as well. Loud “NXT” chant starts up. Owens drops Cena with a huge right hand and follows with some more big right hands. Cena drops Owens with a jumping clothesline and Owens grabs his nose right away in pain. Owens with a quick dropkick and body splash over Cena. Cena with a standing dropkick that takes out Owens. Cena with two flying shoulder tackles, Owens counters, hits two flying shoulder tackles of his own and plants Cena on the mat. Owens mocks Cena going for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Owens connects with the knuckles. Cena counters an AA attempt and gets the STF locked on. Owens gets to the ropes to break it up. Cena with an overhead inverted DDT on Owens showing lots of strength! Owens with a Codebreaker on Cena. Cena counters a Pop Up Powerbomb attempt by Owens and plants Owens with his twisting powerbomb. Cena connects with Five Knuckle Shuffle over Owens. Owens counters an AA into a german supex with a release. Owens with a cannonball into the corner over Cena. Cena with jabs to the body of Owens. Owens plants Cena with a side slam. Cena gets his knees up when Owens comes off the top rope attempting a senton splash. Cena gets Owens on his shoulders and drops him down face first over the mat. Cena with an AA on Owens, hooks the leg and Owens powers out after two. Cena gets in the face of the referee about the call. Cena props Owens up on the top turnbuckle in the corner. Owens slips out, gets Cena on his shoulders, turns Cena and drops Cena with a sitdown powerbomb. Crowd starts a “THIS IS AWESOME” chant. Cena counters the Pop Up Powerbomb into a huricanrana. Owens fires back with a superkick for a close two count. Cena with a jumping tornado DDT off the corner on Owens. Owens avoids a top rope leg drop from Cena. Owens with a cradle side powerbomb on Cena and Cena finds a way to kick out after two. Owens misses his springboard moonsault. Cena with an AA, hooks the leg and Owens barely gets a shoulder up after two! Cena can’t believe it. We see a replay and that was very close. Back live, Cena props Owens up on the top turnbuckle again. Owens counters Cena in the air coming off the second rope with a huge suplex! Cena trips up Owens and locks in the STF. Owens gets to the ropes. Cena is trying to pull Owens back and Owens hangs on. Cena tries to sunset flip over Owens, Owens hangs on, Cena powers through under Owens into a powerbomb! Owens with the Pop Up Powerbomb, Owens hooks the leg and Cena kicks out! Owens is yelling at Cena to stay down as he connects with right hands. Cena gets a piece of Owens with the Springboard Stunner, connects with the AA, hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.

Winner: John Cena

After the match, John Cena holds up the WWE United States Championship in celebration. We see a shot of Kevin Owens recovering up in the corner. Owens turns around and Cena is pointing at him. Huge ovation from the crowd in Columbus. The referee hands Cena the NXT Championship. Cena hands it to Owens who pulls it away. Cena and Owens shake hands. Owens kicks Cena right in the gut as Cena rolls out. Owens powerbombs Cena over the ring apron against the ring. Owens is fired up as he gets back inside the ring and holds up the NXT Championship. Owens grabs the United States Championship and holds it up at ringside along with the NXT Championship. WWE referees check on Cena as Owens throws the United States title back at Cena and heads to the back holding his NXT title. Owens gets in a few more chuckles and leaves. WWE referees help Cena to the backstage area.

Backstage, Renee Young is with Dean Ambrose who is still holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Ambrose admits to misplacing the title in New Orleans. He talks about getting robbed at this event last year. Ambrose said he knows he earned this title no matter what The Authority says. “This belongs to me,” added Ambrose.

Michael Cole, JBL and Jerry Lawler reflect on the life of Dusty Rhodes at ringside.

WWE Tag Team Championships Match
The New Day (c’s) vs. The Prime Time Players

Before the match, Xavier Woods gets on the mic and talks about Kofi Kingston getting “robbed” earlier tonight in the “Money in the Bank” ladder match. Big E said this isn’t fair and cheaters should never win – calling out the Ohio Buckeyes. He leads a New Day chant that the crowd turns into “NEW…DAY SUCKS.” Woods gets angry and Woods calms him down. Big E said this crowd and The Prime Time Players won’t deter them.

We start with Darren Young and Xavier Woods. Young with a firemans carry. Big E tags himself in. Big E with an overhead belly to belly suplex on Young. Big E with big stomps to Young in the corner and tags in Woods. Woods with kicks and tag to Big E. Repeated tags between the two. Big E launches Woods into Young in the corner. Tag to Big E who splashes Young as Woods comes down with a leg drop. Big E with an abdominal stretch on Young. Tag to Woods who prevents Young from tagging in Titus O’Neil. Woods keeps Young grounded preventing a tag. Young with a shot to Big E in the corner. Big E gets the tag. Big E plants Young with a Rock Bottom in the corner. Young sends Big E shoulder first into the steel ring post in the corner. Hot tag to Titus. Woods gets the tag as well. Titus with shoulder block to Woods. Titus clotheslines BIg E over. Titus with a backbreaker and tosses Woods aside. Titus splashes Woods and takes him out with a big tackle. Big E breaks up the pinfall attempt. Big E with a huge spear to Young off the ring apron! Back in the ring, Titus with a sitting spinebuster on Woods and gets the pinfall!

Winners and new WWE Tag Team Champions: The Prime Time Players

After the match, we see a shot of The Prime Time Players celebrating with the WWE Tag Team Championships. We see a replay leading to the finish.

The Money in the Bank panel discusses the event tonight.

We get a recap of the “Money in the Bank” ladder match earlier tonight with Bray Wyatt interfering to attack Roman Reigns allowing Sheamus to get the briefcase.

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt has been signed for WWE Battleground on 7/19.

Backstage, we see a shot of Seth Rollins. Kane says “the future is history” starting tonight. J&J Security aren’t far behind. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are nearby. Stephanie said if Dean Ambrose is able to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tonight, no one else will be to blame but Rollins. Triple H tells Rollins to clear his mind and forget about all of this. “This is what you wanted right? Standing on your own two feet. So show them. Show them. Show them why I chose you. Show them that you are not the future, that you are the man. Show them who you are. Show them that you are Seth Rollins, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Show…them. Show them. Show them all,” adds Triple H.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Ladder Match
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

Lilian Garcia handled ring introductions for the challenger Dean Ambrose and champion Seth Rollins as both men stood face to face.

Lock up and Ambrose with a quick shoulder tackle. Ambrose with another tackle on Rollins. Ambrose with chops to Rollins. Ambrose with snapmare takedown and stomp to the gut of Rollins. Ambrose wraps up the legs of Rollins and pulls back on his nose. Ambrose with a quick kick to the body of Rollins. Ambrose with body shots and eats a boot from Rollins in the corner. Rollins with a jumping elbow in the corner and tosses Ambrose out of the ring. Ambrose jumps back in, wraps rollins against the ropes and drops a chop. Ambrose locks up Rollins and drops him with a big clothesline staring up at the title. Ambrose with a running bulldog on Rollins. Rollins drives Ambrose face first into the second turnbuckle. Rollins kicks Ambrose to the outside and scoop slams Ambrose over the floor. Ambrose with a suicide dive catching Rollins on the outside. Ambrose sends Rollins into a ladder at ringside and then brings it to ringisde. Rollins attacks Ambrose with chops. Rollins jumps back in. Ambrose climbs up the ladder. Rollins pushes it back, hits the ropes and Ambrose sends it face first into Rollins who was attempting a suicide dive through the ropes. Ambrose grabs the ladder and sets it up under the title in the ring. Rollins and Ambrose take turns pulling each other off the ladder. Ambrose with shots. Rollins pulls Ambrose off. More of this as Ambrose sends Rollins face first into the ladder as it falls over. Ambrose hooks the arms of Rollins and flips him back first over the ladder as it fell against the corner! Ambrose sets the ladder back up, climbs to the top and drops a huge flying elbow over Rollins!

Ambrose clotheslines Rollins over the top rope to the outside. Ambrose sets up the ladder again under the title. Rollins has a chair and cracks it against the legs of Ambrose twice. Ambrose falls off the ladder holding his knee in pain. Rollins works over the knee of Ambrose in the corner. Rollins grabs the ladder and drives it into the knee of Ambrose. Ambrose with repeated shots to Rollins. Rollins throws the bad knee of Ambrose over the steel ring post. Rollins applies the Figure Four on Ambrose over the post. Back in the ring, Rollins applies the Figure Four again on Ambrose. Ambrose turns it over to counter. Rollins breaks free and props Ambrose up in the tree of woe in the corner. Rollins grabs a steel chair and cracks it over the knees of Ambrose. Rollins gets up on the top turnbuckle and drops his boot off the face of Ambrose, who was still in the tree of woe. Rollins grabs the ladder, sets it up and starts climbing. Ambrose, limping, pushes the ladder over as Rollins crashes to the mat. Ambrose with rights. Rollins pushes the ladder face first into Ambrose. Rollins puts the knee of Ambrose inside the ladder and cracks a steel chair over it a few times. Rollins is going up top when Ambrose launches a steel chair at his head. A limping Ambrose trips up Rollins on the top rope, gets up on the second rope and clotheslines Rollins with force off the ropes! Ambrose goes over the top rope clotheslining Rollins. Rollins is back in with the ladder in hand. Rollins throws the ladder out. Ambrose avoids it and eats a kick from Rollins.Ambrose bounces off the ropes and comes back leveling Rollins with a clothesline.

Rollins avoids Dirty Deeds. Both are on the outside and brawl into the crowd. Rollins sends Ambrose into a wall and is heading back to the ringside area. Rollins grabs another ladder under the ring and takes a break. Ambrose is back in jumping across the Spanish announce table and main announce table tackling Rollins. Both are back in the ring. Ambrose counters a powerbomb attempt. Ambrose with a high back body drop on Rollins over the top rope and Rollins crashes over the ladder! Ambrose grabs another ladder under the ring and sets it up under the title. Ambrose pulls himself up the ladder. Rollins tries to powerbomb Ambrose to the outside. Ambrose hangs on bringing Rollins with him. Ambrose tackles Rollins over the Spanish announce table. Ambrose and Rollins exchange shots on top of the Spanish announce table. Ambrose with Dirty Deeds on Rollins over the table, but it doesn’t break. The crowd chants “ONE MORE TIME” at them. Ambrose pulls himself in the ring and climbs up the ladder slowly. Rollins with a shot to the knee of Ambrose using one of the TV monitors. Rollins is climbing up. Ambrose cuts him off. Rollins with a Pedigree on Ambrose. Rollins is climbing up the ladder. Ambrose is hanging on to Rollins. Rollins falls out when Ambrose side steps him. Rollins sends Ambrose face first into the ladder. Rollins picks up Ambrose and launches him in a powerbomb against the ring barricade! Rollins picks up Ambrose and does this a second time! Rollins stacks steel chairs over a ladder at ringside and gives Ambrose a sitdown powerbomb over it! Rollins puts the ladder over Ambrose and Rollins throws more chairs on top. Rollins rolls back in and starts climbing. Ambrose slides back in. Ambrose is up top in front of Rollins. Both have the title in hand. The title comes off the hook as both fall back with the title in hand. Rollins is able to recover with the title coming down in the corner.

Winner and still WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Seth Rollins

After the match, we see a replay of the finish with both men falling off the ladder with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in hand. We can see that Rollins was able to pull away with the title to get the win. Back live, Triple H walks out and celebrates with Rollins who holds up the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. We see another replay of how close it was. Back live, the show closes with Rollins continuing to celebrate.

JoJo walks out with a mic and wants to get a reaction from Seth Rollins live. Rollins says, “I told ya so! Nobody can hang with me. I am the best this company has to offer and I’m the greatest WWE World Heavyweight Champion of all time!”
